Patrick Head: 'Silverstone is emasculated... it's just another track now'

Patrick Head is still a resounding big shot in the world of Formula One, despite moving "sideways", and in truth a little downwards, from the job of technical director at Williams, the company he co-founded with Frank Williams more than 30 years ago, to that of engineering director. So it is a surprise to find him, by his own admission, having to do a spot of "meeting and greeting" at the team's Oxfordshire compound. Our conversation in the company boardroom is scarcely five minutes old when Head receives a call asking him to go to reception. The World Superbike champion James Toseland has arrived, and needs some gladhanding.

Rosberg not ruling out F1 team switch

AT T Williams did not fare well in Magny-Cours today during qualifying for Sunday’s French Grand Prix. Nico Rosberg made the cut into Q2, but was unable to convert into Q3 and closed his afternoon in P15.

British GP qualifying debrief: Williams, Toyota, Toro Rosso

AT T Williams had a difficult qualifying session for Sunday’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone today. Having suffered with an unresolved suspension issue all weekend, Nico Rosberg was forced out of Q1 in P18. Kazuki Nakajima fared only slightly better making it into Q2 but was restricted to P15, the conclusion of a lack of grip and an underperforming car.

Bahrain GP - Williams F1 Debrief

The AT T Williams team had a solid but unrewarding Bahrain Grand Prix. The race followed a reliable progression through practice and qualifying, compromised perhaps only by being one of only two teams not to have tested at the Sakhir circuit during winter testing.
