Brit Stop: Getting Ready for Silverstone

Silverstone is the original Formula 1 circuit, the place where the World Championship was born in 1950, but history is just one aspect; for Panasonic Toyota Racing drivers Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock, speed is king. After Monza, Silverstone is the fastest track on the calendar, with an average speed of almost 230km/h on a flying lap and a top speed of over 300km/h at the end of the long Hangar Straight.

British GP - Friday practice 2 - Trulli crashes, Kovalainen quick

Jul.4 (GMM) Toyota's Jarno Trulli endured a woeful opening day of practice for the 2008 British grand prix.The Italian, despite finishing on the podium two weeks ago at Magny-Cours, looked slow at Silverstone, and then crashed at Stowe corner when his rear wing fell off.

Panasonic Toyota Racing heads to the birthplace of the Formula 1 World Championship this weekend for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone fresh from Jarno Trulli's superb third place in France.
