Round twelve of the 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship takes the Honda Racing F1 Team to Spain for the inaugural European Grand Prix in Valencia. The 57-lap race will be staged on a 5.440km (3.380-mile) street track, designed by Hermann Tilke, which uses roads surrounding the recently refurbished Juan Carlos I Marina, which was the base for the 32nd America's Cup in 2007.

Panasonic Toyota Racing returns to action after Formula 1's summer break with the European Grand Prix on the streets of Valencia, Spain this weekend. The European Grand Prix was held for the last nine years at the Nürburgring in Germany but switches to Spain this weekend at the new 5.419km circuit on the streets around the city's America's Cup port. The circuit, which boasts 25 corners, takes the cars around the waterfront and even across the mouth of the harbour, over a distinctive swing bridge.

Donington's 10-year, $200m F1 deal

Jul.4 (GMM) Donington Park's newly announced contract for the British grand prix is a ten-year deal beginning in 2010, the circuit clarified on Friday. In a surprise move, it was announced by the FIA and Bernie Ecclestone that Donington, scene of the 1993 European grand prix, had captured a deal to take the sport away from its current venue, Silverstone.
