BMW Sauber F1 Team - Hungarian Grand Prix - Qualifying

Budapest (HU). BMW Sauber F1 Team driver Robert Kubica qualified fourth in the heat at the Hungaroring in Budapest. Meanwhile for Nick Heidfeld qualifying was a total disappointment. After a promising free practice session in the morning he found several cars in his way when he was on his second fast lap in Q1. He lost so much time behind other cars that he did not even make it into Q2.

Hockenheim (DE). The BMW Sauber F1 Team has to cope with modest grid positions for the German Grand Prix. Robert Kubica qualified 7th, and after braking a little late, Nick Heidfeld missed to score within the top ten, resulting in position 12 in Hockenheim.

BMW Sauber F1 Team - German Grand Prix - Free Practice

Hockenheim (DE). In changing weather conditions BMW Sauber F1 Team drivers Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld finished the second practice session of the German Grand Prix at Hockenheimring on positions 8 and 9. Heidfeld, as usual driving with a special helmet design at the German Grand Prix, also finished the first practice session in the morning without any problems (position 8). Kubica lost control of his car on the partly wet track in lap 8 and hit the barrier. However, the team was able to rebuild the left side of his BMW Sauber F1.08 before the start of the second session.

The excitement is building at the BMW Sauber F1 Team ahead of its home GP at Hockenheim on 20th July. The team has conducted three days of testing at the circuit in the state of Baden-Württemberg in preparation for the race.

After a flawless drive and numerous good overtaking manoeuvres Nick Heidfeld took second place for the BMW Sauber F1 Team in what was a wet and fairly chaotic British Grand Prix. This was his third runner-up spot of the season, and the team’s seventh podium. While everything, including the right tyre choice at each pit stop, paid off for Heidfeld, his team mate Robert Kubica slid off the slippery track after his second pit stop.
