Chandhok could be in F1 in 2009

Aug.7 (GMM) Karun Chandhok, an Indian driver currently racing in GP2, has burst back into the reckoning for a formula one seat in 2009. Last year, the 24-year-old - who made his F1 test debut for Red Bull Racing at the end of 2007 - was linked strongly with a move to countryman Vijay Mallya's newly-acquired Force India team.

The world championship leader produced a stunning display around the Spa-Francorchamps circuit to leave Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen, his title rivals, in his wake. Hamilton clinched top spot on the grid with a lap of 1min 47.338sec for his fifth pole of the year, with Massa on the front row, but more than 0.3secs down.
