Toyota looks at the season so far (+video)

With 10 Grands Prix already in the record books for 2008, the season is over halfway through; and it has been quite a season for Panasonic Toyota Racing so far. There has been excitement from the very start and the TF108 has built on its pre-season promise to become a regular points-scorer in the hands of Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock; so much so that the team currently holds fourth place in the Constructors' Championship.

Toyota Racing to hit the streets of Rotterdam

The streets of Rotterdam in the Netherlands will ring to the sound of Formula 1 this weekend when Jarno Trulli demonstrates a TF107 for Panasonic Toyota Racing at the Bavaria City Racing event on Sunday. Just one week before the European Grand Prix on the new street circuit in Valencia, Jarno will be back behind the wheel of a TF107 on a 2.2km track through the centre of Rotterdam.

Timo Glock drove the TF108 alongside the Batmobile, which went on to make a Formula 1-style pit stop, while Jarno Trulli had the chance to sample the Bat-Pod vehicle. In addition to the on-track action, Panasonic Toyota Racing is also featuring The Dark Knight artwork on the TF108 and the overalls of both drivers, as well as the team's motorhome.

Toyota to keep same drivers for 2009

Jul.3 (GMM) Toyota will race into the 2009 formula one season with an unchanged driver lineup, according to reports. The Swiss newspaper Blick says Jarno Trulli, 33, and his new teammate Timo Glock, 26, are both to be retained beyond November's Brazilian grand prix finale.

Thanks to a partnership between Panasonic Toyota Racing and Warner Bros. Pictures, Hollywood is coming to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix weekend to celebrate the release of the event movie of the summer: The Dark Knight.

Panasonic Toyota Racing heads to the birthplace of the Formula 1 World Championship this weekend for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone fresh from Jarno Trulli's superb third place in France. The 5.141km Silverstone circuit was built on a former airfield and held the very first World Championship race back in 1950, seven years before Toyota took its first steps into international motorsport.
